Shelby is a lovely seven-year-old Labrador Retriever/Border Collie Mix, available for adoption through Kitsap Humane Society.
I love to go for walks and sniff every new scent I can find. You can typically see me zooming around the yard and chasing after plush toys and tennis balls.
I also know how to sit, shake and do a bunch of tricks. Even if I have a history of seizures and separation anxiety, you got nothing to worry about. I take medication and it seems to be working well.
I’m a well-rounded sweet dog who is great on the trail but also loves to be mellow and snuggly with my people, what more could you ask?
I’ve lived with dogs before and I get along with calm ones.
The type of home I’m looking for:
- I need a new home, but apartments, condos and townhomes don’t work for me.
- Playing outdoors is one of my favorite hobbies, so I’d highly appreciate having fun at a fully fenced yard.
- I do best in a home without children under the age of 10, chickens, and cats.
- I want my family to become home more after often, and take me along car rides when they go out and about.
#WhynotMEpets is a statewide campaign that gives cats and dogs needing more care and attention a greater chance of finding a home as quickly as possible. Its mission focuses on animals that have been homeless for two months or longer; are elderly; have behavior or medical needs; aren’t thriving in the shelter environment; or make up a large percentage of the shelter population, such as bully breeds. These are the animals asking “Why not me?” To learn more, visit pawsitivealliance.org/whynotmepets.
