If there’s one thing we can all agree on, it’s that we love to spoil our pups and what better way to spoil them than with a barkuterie…er…charcuterie board designed just for dogs? Whether hosting a birthday pawty or celebrating the howlidays, your dog and doggy friends will drool for their own barkuterie board.

Start with the board. We love this paw-shaped, bamboo cutting board from Totally Bamboo, perfect for any dog lover’s kitchen. Fun and functional, it pays homage to our furry friends, while providing the perfect vessel for our ingredients.
Next, choose your treats. Load the board up with healthy snacks like cucumber, carrots, green and red apple slices and blueberries — take some of those fruits and veggies and stamp out dog bones using a bone-shaped cookie cutter. Next, add cubes of cheese — you can apply the same bone-shaped cookie cutter method here as well. Be sure to include every dog’s all-time favorite treat — peanut butter! Spoon some into a ramekin and use as a dip for dog biscuits, apple slices and veggies.
Lastly, your barkuterie board would not be complete without some kind of meaty treat — ‘charcuterie’ literally means the ‘products of a fancy pork butcher’. For our holiday soiree, we like Polkadog’s Shepherd’s Pie lamb treats and Silver & Gold cod skins (warning: these treats are stinky, but what dog doesn’t love a stinky treat?!) plus good ol’ Pup-peroni sticks. Lastly, fill any gaps with sprinkles of kibble or Polkadog’s Season’s Eatings soft and chewy training treats.
Now that your barkuterie board is complete, pair it with a mocktail of bone broth. Add these easy, heart-shaped ice cubes made with sodium-free chicken stock and bits of carrot. Cheers!
